Guiding light

“Follow the sound of my voice.”

The command was ethereal, delicate and strangely familiar, and yet was none they’d heard before. Though it seemed to be coming from the direction of where Yulien once stood, it echoed around the passageway causing the companions to doubt their ears.

Once again the voice whispered it’s command,

“Follow the sound of my voice.”

“I fear that is not my sister,” called out Rohlen. “Do not listen to her.”

“How are sure? The magic could have taken its toll on her voice,” offered Jax.

“Follow the sound of my voice,” rung out again, but this time with more urgency, more menace to its tone.

“That’s not Yulien,” added Fraevon, somewhat distanced from the others. “Yulien is here with me.”
