Is there such a thing as love at first sight? Personally my answer is yes and no.
Explanation: I see a piece of artwork, fall in love with it instantly, buy it and put it on my wall. I see a film for the first time, fall in love and buy it on DVD to watch time and time again. These are the ‘yes’ part to my answer.
The ‘no’ part is seeing someone and the notion of falling in love with THEM is ridiculous. People are complex by nature and as such take time to really get to know fully. Love can only blossom when you fully know someone. At first sight, I believe we fall in love with the idea of being in love them.

Yes I completely agree. People tend to confuse lust with love. Forging a strong bond with another person, a connection beyond physical attraction takes time. Too many layers to discover.

I totally agree. People are like onions, too many layers and if you cut into them wrong they’ll make you cry.

Of this I am completely guilty. I am so in love with the idea of being in love that the false markers I have somehow convinced myself to be real are ignited in the excitement and sweet blah blahs in my ear… despite this I will continue to do it over and over and over again – because I LOVE it

Falling in love should always be encouraged, because there is no better drug I know of, than receiving love given.

Sighs … tortured souls the pair of us but without the highs and lows we’d just be, well, normal đ
