Iridescent moon beams,
Erupt in euphoric release,
Distorting the ebonised darkness,
Of Night’s stranglehold.
Countless stars shimmer,
Like sequins upon an ebony dress,
Innocent spectators,
Of light’s battle over dark.
A casual upwards glance,
Born from intuition,
Reveals fragmented visions,
Before becoming lost like tears in rain.
The reign of Darkness lingers,
Light temperal, short lived,
But even Darkness shall fall,
When the time of the Sun returns.
