I wrote the name of my one true love,
Upon a piece of paper,
But over time it faded away,
And so could no longer be seen.
Then I etched her name upon a rock,
That stood within my garden,
But the weather soon erased away,
The name which I had carved.
So I named a star in the nights sky,
That of my one true love,
And every night I’d look to her,
With comfort knowing she was there.
