Macabre Lullaby

Hush now my darling,

Let me ease all your fears,

Soon no longer your eyes,

Will be full of those tears.

The beat of your heart,

Shall fall silent and still,

And the pain that it harbours,

Your sleep will then kill.

What blood now in your veins,

Will soon no longer flow,

As off into a new world,

Ours souls will soon go.

Now rest easy my love,

I’ll take all hurt away,

And we’ll soon be together,

As death now comes our way.
