Black tendrils reach out,
From within the deepest depth,
Of my own subconscious,
Tugging and strangling,
Any glimmer of confidence,
That dared to blossom.
I ask myself “Am I good enough”
And the tendrils reply,
Through suffocation.

And yet be breathe on. Fighting against our own inner demons, because somewhere deep down there is a willingness to fight, to prove the demons wrong.
