A wrecking ball. That was how she described the way he crashed into her life, ruining every future potential relationship and illuminating like a beacon those she’d had in the past.
It wasn’t physical, though the feelings that coursed through her body at times most certainly were. This was an emotional connection that was born upon an attitude of how she was made to feel by the attention he paid her.
He made her feel beautiful on days when her eyes in the mirror made her feel otherwise. Made her feel as though, no matter how busy his day was, he had time just for her. He made her feel wanted and was all she ever wanted a man to make her feel.
Just like the wrecking ball she described him as, so too it described well the way love for him crashed into her heart.

Thank you. Not quite as eloquent as your own, but I’m pleased with how it reads.
