The Hidden Letter

Tears fall like liquid silver from blood red eyes

Sorrow grips with icy fingers that see you tremble

My approach makes you nervous, so turn away

The sound of paper crumpled is hastily concealed

I ask you of it, yet you offer no reply

You flinch from my hand placed upon your shoulder

Fear now shrouds you like some deathly veil

Consumed by anger, my blood boils with rage

My fist connects and your consciousness lost

The hidden letter from a lover is found

Your deceits laid bare in the words written

It was the end they’ve called that produced your tears

When you awaken let silver flow as once before

For not one you’ve lost this eve, now two depart.
